Order of Engineers and architects in Beirut (OEA) in coordination with UNDP is organizing Training Program for Engineers on Solar Photovoltaics, Solar Water Heaters and career guidance.
The training will span over a period of two months between October and December of 2022 from Monday to Thursday during working hours (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm) with one day per week (Saturdays) that will be delivered in person.
The aim of the training is to prepare young engineers and future engineers on how to design, implement, monitor and sell the best Solar Photovoltaics and Solar Water Heating solutions for their clients.
The training will cover the following topics and skills:
1- A theoretical training on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems (types, components and design specifications)
2- A Practical Training on Solar PV design software Helioscope/PVsyst
3- Site visits to a Solar PV plant for site inspection, installation, monitoring and commissioning
4- A theoretical training on Solar Water Heater (SWH) systems (types, components and design specifications)
5- A practical training on SWH design software T*SOL/Polysun/Transol
6- Site visits to a SWH plant for site inspection, installation, monitoring and commissioning
7- Engineering Soft Skills (Communication, Procurement, Logistics and Proposal Writing)
8- Personal Skills (Teamwork, Leadership and Time management)
9- Interview and CV Preparation
The training will be delivered ONLINE by Solar PV experts, Solar Water Heater Experts and Career Guidance experts that have extensive experience in their respective fields with one day per week that will be delivered in person in 4 locations across Lebanon*:
1. Beirut – OEA Main Head Quarters
2. Zahle – OEA Branch
3. Saida – OEA Branch
4. Nabatieh – OEA Branch
*Trainees will receive transportation stipends to attend the trainings.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to trainees at the end of the two-months training period.
