Responsibilities

– Facilitate coordination among the different departments and sectors in the targeted areas and with the coordination office. Facilitate regular meetings and share relevant messages to/from the SMT.
– Promote positive communication, respectful and professional relationship among the different departments and sectors in the targeted areas and with the coordination office.
– Support Field Staff in the optimal and efficient implementation of the projects’ activities.
– Establish positive external communication with all the local community and local authorities in the areas of intervention.
– Support in the logistics and supply, administration, and HR processes, aiming to improve the operation systems in Hama and Idlib. Responsible for the collection and review of all the supporting documents, proper storing and regular sending to the coordination office.
– The HoB is responsible for guaranteeing the implementation of INTERSOS Safety and Security procedures, upgrading them, and increasing the operations security level in the targeted areas, in close collaboration with the Head of Mission and the Roving Security Coordinator.
– Support the security analysis and support the HoM in updating the Risk Management documents for the targeted areas
– Make sure all the Staff members are familiar with Risk Management procedures and they abide by the safety rules.
– Facilitate the technical assessments processes in regard to negotiations with local stakeholders and obtaining authorizations
– Responsible for Local and International Staff. Supervision of correct behaviors, and developments, propose members for upgrade, change of duties/responsibilities
– Responsible for the correct use, storage and maintenance of INTERSOS assets
– Make sure to keep constant contact with all the relevant stakeholders present in the areas and represent INTERSOS at Field Office Level.
– Promote and oversee the INTERSOS representation in the area Coordination meetings.
– Represent INTERSOS in the relevant coordination meetings and ensure proper and timely reporting to the SMT.
– Support HoM/Country Program Coordinator in Donor relations and representation at the field level.
– Support in the identification of new gaps, actively contributing and participating in defining needs and priorities for the area of responsibility and ensuring timely communication to the SMT.
– Facilitate coordination of emergency interventions in the targeted and new areas.
– Support the senior management on the promotion of accountability and commitment to INTERSOS charter, policies and procedures.
– Maintain the image of INTERSOS and ensures that staff properly displays INTERSOS’s values and principles
– Provide brief weekly reports and monthly detailed reports to the SMT.

Qualifications

– University Degree in Business Management or a related field.
– Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, having supervision roles.
– Previous experiences with INGOs are preferred
– Advanced computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Proficiency in English and Arabic (written, spoken).
– Proven report writing skills
