الوصف

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the field site manager with the technical support of the Country Logistics Department, the Logistics Assistant will provide support related to warehouse and procurement activities in Hamah.

I. WAREHOUSING:

In close collaboration with Program team and under the technical support of the Warehouse Manager based in Damascus, the Logistics Assistant will perform the below duties:

– To store medical commodities in accordance with MoH regulations and IMC policies.
– To maintain standards good storage practice (cleanliness, temperature, humidity, segregation, appropriate stocking layout, fire extinguishers, pest control).
– To conduct regular check for commodities, to isolate damaged/expired commodities, and process replacement/disposal in line within IMC policies.
– To assist in maintaining the materials losses at the minimum or zero losses.
– To assess the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior receiving commodities
– To assist in supervising the receipt of all material arrivals and dispatches and to update the documentation (bin cards/stock cards).
– Assisting in regular materials physical random check/inventory of the medical storage when required.
– Perform other related duties are required.

II. PROCUREMENT:

In close collaboration with Hamah Program team and under the technical support of the Senior Procurement Officer based in Damascus, the Logistics Assistant performs various activities throughout the procurement cycle to assist the acquisition of goods and services in support of the delivery of high-quality programming:

– Manages requisitions by sending, preparing and/or collecting all the supportive documentations and evidences (RFQ, PBS, organizing tender committee, Bridger Insight, GRN, SRN, VRT…) to ensure compliance with the International Medical Corps’ internal and relevant donors’ procedures, rules and regulations.
– Maintains updated the Vendor Catalogue Online with all the necessary and mandatory documentations.
– Carry out market analysis, collect from potential suppliers
relevant documentation (registration, tax certificates, owners’ ID, past contract references) in order to source new potential vendors.
– Remain updated of internal and donor procedures, attend to refreshment and training activities delivered by the SPO
– Perform other related duties are required.

Qualifications
– Minimum Institute degree, or any other certification in the related field.
– Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (minimum requirement).
– Ability to compile reports.
– Excellent oral and written communications in English and Arabic.
Specific Vacancy Requirements
– One year of experience in logistics and/or Supply Chain in private or/and humanitarian sector.
– Good organizational skills.
– Good Communication skills.
– Evidence of ability to work in a participatory manner with staff to assess needs.
– Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
– Ready to take initiatives with teamwork.
