Responsibilities
1.Project Set-Up and Implementation:
a. Support local partner(s) in the set-up and the development of the organization activities.
b. Ensure timely and accurate implementation of project activities, ensuring outcomes and outputs are reached as defined by logframes.
c. Provide problem-solving solutions and actions in collaboration with implementing partner(s) and in coordination with the responsible supervisor where needed.
d. Assist partner(s) in preparing regular activity-based work plans.
e. Ensure the quality of implemented activities and the adherence organization standards
f. Facilitate/coordinate the implementation activities.
g. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
a. Conduct regular project visits within Syria to monitor project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving project outcomes and outputs, and provide structured feedback for internal and external stakeholders.
b. Support local partner(s) in the collection, compilation and analysis of relevant high-quality data.
c. Support local partner(s) to compile timely internal reports for assigned projects in line with donor requirements and internal organization regulations and in accordance with set reporting schedules; assure the submission of the reports specified in the reporting schedule.
d. Assist in the provision of necessary training to local staff and implementing partners on M&E and related tools and templates.
e. Assist in preparing M&E plans and assist local implementing partners in setting up M&E structures.
f. Support partner in developing impact and progress measurements.
g. Facilitate and coordinate programme evaluation(s).
h. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

3. Coordination and Partnership Management
a. Represent the organization vis-a-vis donors, the Caritas Network, partners, livelihood and other authorities and institutions and coordination platforms according to the Program Managers instructions.
b. Maintain a strong working relationship with partners and keep the Program Manager informed of all partnership developments.
c. Ensuring that all planned activities are coordinated within national and international/UN coordination bodies.
d. Attend coordination meetings in Syria as required and provide updates on the organization projects to the various working groups.

4. Administrative Support
a. Carry out all the logistical and administrative tasks required for the organization sub-office in the country including small purchases, reservations, preparations for visitors, and other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications
1. Education
University degree in Humanitarian or Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Social Work, Education or a related field.

2. Professional Experience
i. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position preferably in Lebanon, Jordan or Syria.
ii. Prior experience in Relief / Livelihood in Emergency (very essential)
iii. Strong Project Cycle Management skills
iv. Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
v. Experience in data collection and analysis as well as M&E assessment tools are required.
vi. Proven work experience in a post-conflict setting
vii. Sound understanding of the Syrian context.

a. Highly organized, good capacity of analysis and synthesis, and attention to coherence and detail. Strong inter-personal skills, patience and persistence, if required.
b. Strong motivation to work in close partnership with national partners
c. Proven ICT skills,
d. Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
e. Strong training & facilitation skills.
f. Strong writing/reporting skills
g. Sound understanding of humanitarian standards
h. Solid communication and presentation skills, especially in writing.
i. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and to cope with time pressure
j. Sound experience with modern technology, modern management tools

2. Language and Other Requirements
a. Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are required.
b. Ability to work in Syria and Lebanon
c. Willingness to frequently travel to the field
