This call for volunteer mentors is open to any Syrians or Arabs residing in the United Kingdom, who would like to volunteer with the PADILEIA project to support and mentor refugee students in Lebanon and Jordan.
The Partnership for Digital Learning and Increased Access (PADILEIA) is an initiative under the Strategic Partnership for Higher Education Innovation and Reform (SPHEIR), funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The project aims to facilitate access to higher education for those displaced and affected by the Syrian crisis in Jordan and Lebanon.
King’s College London is the lead partner on the project, working alongside the American University of Beirut and Jordan’s Al al-Bayt University, online learning platform FutureLearn in London, and Kiron Open Higher Education in Berlin.
