KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Prosthetic Technician is responsible for constructing, fitting, maintaining, and repairing prosthetic devices and to maintain a working prosthetic laboratory in a clean, safe, and functional condition at all times.
- Study the case and the doctor’s recommendations about the specifications provided by the doctor.
- Preparing a plan for producing the needed prostheses
- Measurement for the Compensation part, and specifying the upper and lower prostheses, needed manufactured straps and girdles
- Definition the specifications of materials are used in producing the artificial prostheses
- Initial plans for producing the artificial prostheses
- Comparing the measurements with standard
- Definition the professional way to produce and forming the aesthetic and usable prostheses
- Producing the prostheses, straps and girdles by using available instruments
- Commitment to the work plan for producing and installation the prostheses to achieve the goal in the exact period
- Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic devices. Analyse needs for repairs, rebuilding, modifying, or replacing prosthetic devices.
- Training and orientation the patient about using the product, straps, girdles and caring about them
- Maintenance the prostheses as the periodic program or as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Higher institute of Health science specialized in prostheses, Industrial engineering, Medical equipment engineering, or experience certificate for more than two year.
- Experience in producing and installation the prostheses
- Ability to Preparing a plan for producing prostheses.
- Good level in English is essential.
- Flexibility in difficult working conditions.
- Excellent knowledge of the artificial prostheses.
- Ability to travel out of Turkey.
