Educational Activities Facilitator (Project-Based)

Role Specific Information
1. Contribute to the implementation of NRC’s Education Programme by conducting field workshops / training activities to the targeted groups (children or youth) in the selected areas / locations.
2. Participate in the preparation of the required equipment and materials for workshops and ensure their readiness.
3. Participate in organizing the location, invite and encourage individuals to participate, and classifying the participants (children or youth) before starting the workshop.
4. Provide feedback to the direct line of authority after each assignment and prepare reports as requested.
5. Support the identification and understanding of education, training, and PSS needs in current or new operation areas.
6. Attend and participate in required NRC-facilitated training, update / reporting meetings.
7. Contribute to the registration of participants’ data and counting the total number of participants.
8. Maintain a strong relationship with the participants and foster them to participate in the coming events by creating a friendly and welcoming learning space for participants.
9. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
10. Perform other duties (scanning & archiving, data entry, office work) when needed.

Our Ideal Candidate
 Previous experience of working in facilitating educational, Psychosocial Support, recreational activities/trainings with children/youth outside schools or teaching in schools.
 Experience of working in a humanitarian/recovery context or equivalent is a plus.
 Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbal.
 Ability to communicate effectively, initiate and build trustful relations.
 Good inter-personal skills. Contextual and cultural sensitiveness.
 Ability to work autonomously. Proactivity and capacity to take initiative.
