Have you also found yourself nodding or being quiet when asked to do something and then struggling with fulfilling the request?
Or staying quiet in certain situations and getting angry at yourself later for not ‘speaking up’? Particularly during these challenging times when we see others struggling, we might stretch ourselves even further to support family members, friends, our communities and strangers.
Or we might find ourselves saying ‘Yes’ just to avoid additional stress and conflict.
In this session we will reflect about the difficulties of saying ‘No’ and how we can balance different needs like, for example, our desire to support others while making sure to recharge ourselves.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and explore ways to address those situations.
We might also use short role plays to see which approaches might be useful. The session is based on Nonviolent Communication. It will be facilitated and guided by trainer and communication expert Tanya Ghorra and forumZFD staff and coach Catrin Froehlich.
The workshop is offered in English and free of cost. This space is open for all people living in Lebanon. We will meet on Zoom and stream the session on facebook life from 6pm to 8pm.To take part, please register in advance through this link:
