Economic Inclusion to Mitigate the Refguee Crisis
Refugees = Partners is holding its first conference on the subject of “Economic Inclusion to Mitigate the Refugee Crisis.” The conference aims to address the repercussions of the refugee crisis on Lebanon, by acknowledging the structural dysfunctions of the Lebanese economic system and the challenges faced in dealing with the refugee crisis, and highlighting the economic contributions of Syrian refugees as well as potential options for building an inclusive socio-economic environment.
The conference will be an occasion to share the latest findings and the most recent studies on the Syrian refugee crisis in the MENA region and Lebanon in particular. In addition, Refugees = Partners will be introducing its preliminary research findings on the impact of Syrian refugees on the Lebanese economy and the labor market.
The conference offers an opportunity to engage in substantive discussions on issues facing Lebanese and refugees communities, and thus, assist in guiding tangible recommendations and a more effective collaboration and partnership among existing initiatives.
يتناول المؤتمر الأول لـ “اللاجئون = شركاء” موضوع “الإدماج الاقتصادي لتخفيف أزمة اللجوء.” يهدف المؤتمر إلى معالجة تداعيات أزمة اللاجئين على لبنان من خلال إقرار أوجه الخلل البنيوية في النظام الاقتصادي اللبنانيّ والتحديات القائمة في التعامل مع الأزمة، وإبراز مساهمات اللاجئين السوريين الاقتصادية، فضلًا عن الخيارات المتاحة لبناء بيئة اجتماعية واقتصادية شاملة.
سيكون المؤتمر مناسبة لمشاركة أحدث النتائج والدراسات حول أزمة اللاجئين السوريين في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا وخاصة في لبنان. إضافة إلى ذلك، سيقدم مشروع “اللاجئون = شركاء” نتائج بحثيّه الأولية حول تأثير اللاجئين السوريين على الاقتصاد اللبناني وسوق العمل. يقدم المؤتمر فرصة للمشاركة في نقاشات موضوعية حول المشكلات التي يواجهها اللاجئون، والمساعدة في تقديم توصيات ملموسة وتعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين المبادرات القائمة.
