About HALO Trust:

HALO’s Syria Program:

HALO’s program in Syria was established in 2016 and is coordinated from offices in Amman, Jordan, and Syria. HALO conducts its projects in Syria through national NGO partners and a HALO Field Office in Kelli, Idleb. Current projects in Syria include Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Non-Technical Survey (NTS), and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).

About the role:

The Logistics Officer supports HALO Syria at both the office and field level. Working with all business functions supporting clearance operations.

The Logistics Officer will support the Logistics Manager, Administrator and Location Manager(s) acting as a focal point.

 Job Description and Requirements:

The Logistics Officer supports HALO Syria at both the office and field level. Working with all business functions supporting clearance operations.

The Logistics Officer will support the Logistics Manager, Administrator and Location Manager(s) acting as a focal point.

Compliance:

• Under guidance from Logistics Manager, ensure programme procurement procedures are followed, relevant to compliance and value for money requirements.
• Logistics Management including storekeeping;
• Market surveys and procurement;
• Transport and movement of people and equipment;
• Maintaining a working Fleet;
• Basic finance support.
• Arranging maintenance tasks for the guesthouse (GH) and office
• Handling the payment of utilities for the office and Guest House
• Creating weekly and monthly purchase orders for the international staff’s food and other essential needs
• Maintaining an inventory of office supplies and placing orders as needed
• Preparing contracts and processing payments for suppliers such as water, hotel, food, handyman, and cleaner services.
• Assisting the Logistics Manager with their duties;
• Transporting goods and personnel, ensuring correct transfer of goods between location stores;
• Storekeeping: Recording items entering or leaving stores;
• Conducting weekly stock checks of capital equipment in location stores;
• Keeping track of assigned equipment;
• Inform when certain stocks are running low;
• Support / lead procurement
• Assist with other duties as requested.

الوصف الوظيفي والمتطلبات:

يدعم ضابط اللوجستيات هالو سوريا على مستوى المكتب والموقع.

يعمل مع جميع الأقسام لدعم عمليات الازالة.

سيقوم ضابط اللوجستيات بدعم مدير اللوجستيات، المدير الإداري ومدير الموقع (أو المديرين)، ويعمل كحلقة وصل.

الامتثال:

•         بتوجيه من مدير اللوجستيات ، تأكد من اتباع إجراءات شراء البرنامج ، ذات الصلة بمتطلبات الامتثال والقيمة مقابل المال.

• إدارة اللوجستيات بما في ذلك التخزين

• مسح السوق  و الشراء

• النقل وحركة الأشخاص والمعدات؛

• الحفاظ على أسطول مركبات العمل؛

• الدعم الأساسي لقسم المحاسبة؛

• ترتيب مهام الصيانة لمنزل الضيافة والمكتب؛

•التعامل مع دفع فواتير المرافق للمكتب ومنزل الضيافة؛

• إنشاء أوامر شراء أسبوعية وشهرية للطعام واحتياجات الموظفين الدوليين الأخرى؛

• الحفاظ على مخزون من اللوازم المكتبية وطلب العناصر حسب الحاجة؛

• إعداد العقود ومعالجة المدفوعات للموردين مثل الماء، والفندق، والطعام، والخدمات مثل الصيانة والتنظيف.

·       مساعدة مدير اللوجستيات في أداء مهامه؛

• نقل البضائع والأفراد، وضمان النقل الصحيح للبضائع بين مخازن المواقع؛

• التخزين: تسجيل العناصر الداخلة والخارجة من المخازن؛

• إجراء فحوصات المخزون الأسبوعية للمعدات الرئيسية في مخازن المواقع؛

• متابعة المعدات المعينة للاشخاص والفرق؛

• الإعلام عند انخفاض بعض المخزونات؛

• دعم / قيادة عمليات الشراء

• مساعدة في مهام أخرى عند الطلب

Requirements for a HALO Logistics Officer are as follows:

Essential:

• Diploma from an institute in Logistics Management or Business, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license
• No previous association with illegal groups.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
