Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work
Supports formulation of project  Action Plan focusing on achievement of the following results:

•    Collection, analysis and presentation of background information for project formulation/ implementation).
•    Presentation of background information for formulation of for progress and montitoring reports draft project documents, work plans, budgets, proposals on implementation arrangements.

Provides effective support to  Project Manager  and  IR team focusing on the achievement of the following results:
•     Support creation of a project in Atlas, preparation of required budget revisions, revision of project award and project status, determination of unutilized funds, operational and financial close of a project.
•    Provision of guidance to the feild team on routine implementation of projects.
•    Presentation of information for audit of projects, supports implementation of audit recommendations.

Provides administrative support to the Solid Waste and Debris Unit focusing on achievement of the following    results:
•    Review of projects Financial Reports; preparation of non-PO vouchers for the project.
•    Maintenance of the internal expenditures control system,undertake  timely corrective actions on unposted vouchers, including the vouchers with budget check errors, match exceptions, unapproved vouchers.
•    Creation of requisitions in Atlas for development projects, register of goods receipt in Atlas.
•    Making budget check for requisitions, POs and vouchers.
•    Prepare documents and reports that support procurnment cases.

Supports resource mobilization focusing on achievement of the following results:
•    Support tracking and reporting on mobilized resources. Review of contributions agreement, managing contributions in Atlas.
•    Draft background  information  and reports  that will be presented to a donor.

Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the team and CO focusing on achievement of the following results:
•    Participate in the  trainings for the operations/ projects staff on programme.
•    Synthesis of lessons learnt and best practices in during project implementation .
•    Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
  • High School Diploma with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance .
    Or,First-level University Degree in Finance, Business or Public Administration,  or any other related field.
Experience:
  • At least 5 years (High School) or 2 years (Bachelor) of progressively responsible in Finance, Business or Public Administration or any other related field.
    Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), advance knowledge of automated procurement systems, experience in handling of web-based management systems.
    UN knowledge or experience would be desirable;
Required Language(s):
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
