Programme Analyst

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

In collaboration with Government counterparts, NGOs and other partners, contributes substantively to the formulation and design of the AWPs in line with HRP and the country programme and its component projects that meet Government priorities and according to UNFPA programme policies and procedures. Ensures quality of programme / project design incorporating lessons learned, newly developed policies and best practices and establishing appropriate execution and monitoring mechanisms and systems.

Expedites and coordinates project implementation establishing collaborative relationships with Implementing Partners (IPs), experts, government counterparts and other UN agencies facilitating timely and efficient delivery of project inputs and addressing training needs of project personnel Assist the Programme Manager in the implementation of project activities;

Ensure all logistical arrangements for the implementation of project activities are carried out smoothly;

Support the coordination of the National partners in implementing projects activities;

Follow up on field work

Follow up and review deliverables with national and international consultants

Organize and coordinate technical and logistical arrangements for workshops and trainings;

Review and coordinate the production of knowledge materials;

Organizational and logistical issues related to projects execution per UNFPA guidelines and procedures;

Record keeping of projects documents, including financial documents in accordance with audit requirements;

Assist in preparation of the annual workplans and budget revisions under supervision of the programme Manager and in collaboration with the UNFPA sub Offices;

Facilitate timely preparation and submission of financial reports and settlement of advances, including progress reports and other substantial reports;

Identify any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the RH programme.

Conducting field visits, participating in review meetings and evaluation missions and preparing regular inputs to status and progress reports. Analyzes factors affecting the achievement of results, recommends corrective actions and follows up on recommendations.

Ensure the mainstreaming of gender and youth into all RH activities.

Ensure proper professional relationships with relevant national partner agencies, community leaders, local NGOs and other Community Based Organizations

Report to the Programme Manger on a regular basis;

Perform other duties that may be required and deemed necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: 

Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science field preferable obstetrics and gynecological certificate. Experience in resilience programing is an asset.

Knowledge and Experience:

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Field experience

National RH program implementation experience is a strong asset.

Languages:

Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic .
