Information Management and Systems Officer – Syria Response
12 months fixed term contract starting January 2018.
The total salary package for this position is £32,808 - £35,544 per annum* including basic salary, hardship allowance and cost of living allowance.
What we do
People in Need’s programs for war-affected Syrian population focus mainly on livelihood/food security, rural rehabilitation and emergency education. PIN operates several programs in North-Eastern Syria (Raqqa and Hasaka province) with its offices and field staff in Syria. Cross-border operations are managed from Northern Iraq.
Secours Islamique France (SIF) was created in 1991, and has developed international programs in order to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable populations in France and around the world.
COOPI is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1965. Founded in Milan by Vincenzo Barbieri, its goal is to assist populations hit by emergency in favouring their civil, economic and social development.
COOPI is present in Syria (Damascus) since January 2017 with currently a project funded by AICS and a partnership with UNHCR for a Community Center in Aleppo.
Purpose for the job: Under the supervision and guidance of Chief, Field Office in Aleppo, the programme assistant supports the respective section through providing a range of procedural, administrative, and operational support in developing, implementing, executing and monitoring their country programme, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.
