Center Manager - Shatila


Role and Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership and supervise the implementation of all community center projects
  • Manage day to day activities and coordinate logistics for all community center projects
  • Ensure that all center activities are in compliances with local laws and Basmeh and Zeitooneh’s Code of Conduct
  • Ensure that all projects activities in the center follow the initial grants agreement
  • Prepares comprehensive monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports detailing the progress of projects in the Center, the challenges faced, and the achievements
  • Act as a budget holder for different projects in the center, and make sure all expenditures are in-line with budget allocation
  • Liaise with different projects personnel at the center level, developing and reviewing plans and operational requirement to deliver requisite resources in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinates all activities within the center and ensures all projects have the tools, space, and resources necessary to carry out the necessary project’s activities
  • Inform Country Director, in a timely manner, of the continued requirement for lease and occupation of premises, including renewal of leases, as well as on requirement for new premises and facilities, in accordance with established Area’s priorities
  • Actively contribute to the planning process of programs in collaboration with technical and finance departments
  • Develop comprehensive context analysis for the area of focus, and update it regularly based on changes in context in order to be used as base for planning interventions
  • Conduct a full stakeholder mapping for the area of intervention and design engagement plans with each of them
  • Plan and organize regular need assessments and actively participate in developing need assessment framework and tools
  • Develop capacity building plans for center staff in coordination with technical managers
  • Certify attendance records of center staff Unit supervisors and Projects Coordinators and submit to HR unit
  • Certifiy leave request for the Unit Supervisor, Project coordinators within the center based on established leave plan, and ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Utilize available resources to support visits by donors and delegations in compliance with administrative instructions on official visits
  • Prepare and update the center’s monthly work plan in accordance with the grant agreement Perform, as required, other tasks directed by the Country Director


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with adequate computer and research skills 
  • Must have strong ability to maintain interpersonal relationships
  • Diplomatic, with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Successful in leading teams, and motivating them
  • Must have personal qualities such as: a strong commitment to integrity, respect for diversity, and the ability to inspire others Basmeh and Zeitooneh Staff

Education Degree Details:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, International Relations, International Development, Economics or any other related discipline.
